Fer Rodriguez is an oil painter who makes Brooklyn, New York, his home. Born and raised in Argentina, he moved abroad following his career in Computer Science.
He later found his passion in painting, as he started to do casual sketches. First in acrylics and later in oil, the medium that he loves.
Self-taught through books, videos and online courses, he started to gain traction with a wide variety of subjects such as portraiture, landscapes and still life among others.
Fernando is a member of the Portrait Society of America and the VAA, Visual Artists Association.
He finds inspiration everywhere. Pictures from his many trips, characters from series & movies and daily ordinary subjects. He is lucky enough to be surrounded by museums, which he goes to frequently to find inspiration in the old masters as well.
His alter ego? Probably Rembrandt and John Singer Sargent.
Painting is his way to relax, unwind, explore and express his creativity. He loves to paint in all types of supports: canvas, linen panels, pads and sheets. You will probably find him listening to music or podcasts while he is painting.
